Ayurveda means "the science of life" and comes from the ancient Vedic tradition of India, where it has been practiced for more than 5,000 years.
The Revival of Ancient Knowledge
Centuries of neglect, however, led to a decline in ayurveda until 1980, when Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Transcendental Meditation™, gathered the foremost living exponents of ayurveda to enliven this age-old knowledge in its completeness and original purity.
The experts who worked with Maharishi® included Dr V M Dwivedi (world renowned authority on ayurvedic herbal rasayanas), Dr Balraj Maharishi (expert in Ayurvedic plants and their effects), and Dr B D Triguna (greatest Ayurvedic physician and scholar in India.

The Maharishi Ayurveda Tip of the Week newsletter gives you a snapshot of Ayurvedic knowledge. It covers a broad range of topics, with practical advice and interesting facts. Occasionally, the newsletter may refer subscribers to the Maharishi Ayurveda Article Delivery Service (ADS) if they would like to more information on a particular topic.
Subscribers need only reply to the newsletter with the name of the article and it is automatically emailed back to them.
The ADS is easiest to use for subscribers, however a version is also available for those who don't want to subscribe to the Tip of the Week newsletter.
